The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) places great emphasis on lighting education in fulfilling its mission to advance the art, science and practice of illumination. Our goal is to provide agile and accessible educational opportunities through modern learning modalities as well as in person seminars and courses and allowing the vast knowledge of our members be shared with our membership at large.
Check our Events page for local education courses as they are announced.
At the 2018 IES Research Symposium the latest research on how light during the day and night affects our circadian, biological, and behavioral responses will be presented along with discussions on how this research might affect current and future design applications
Using case studies, this presentation will provide input into the evaluation of various architecture and interior spaces and show how to use lighting to enhance the overall effect and mood.
