Come join the IES for our first event of 2021, and our third event this season! This event will be an online yoga/meditation session and discussion to start the year off with a focus on wellness. The event will be held through Zoom on January 20th. This event will include an online 25-minute restorative-style yoga class and 5-minute meditation session, hosted by Sound Vibes, followed by a discussion with the IES regarding light and how it can impact mental health and wellness, as well as mindfulness techniques that have been helpful throughout the past year.
We have partnered with Sound Vibes, a local organisation that specialises in bringing live music and yoga to many different spaces and events throughout Western Canada. The practice will be led by Sarah Farrell, and accompanying music provided by Cody Homa. They believe that music and yoga have the power to heal the mind and body, and we are excited to have this opportunity to relax from our busy lives and focus on wellness for this event with them!
The yoga/meditation class portion of the event is suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners as modifications will be offered to ensure everyone has a safe variation of each posture to explore.
