Fundamentals of Lighting (FOL) is back for 2025!
This 2.5-day in-person course is your gateway to understanding the core principles of lighting design and application. Learn about lamp and luminaire types, lighting calculations, controls, and practical techniques to balance form and function.
Perfect for architects, engineers, designers, contractors, sales reps, manufacturers, distributors, customer service professionals, and students — anyone looking to build a strong foundation in lighting.
CEUs: 25 CEUs, 25 LU-HSW approved based on course completion (does not qualify for NCQLP CEUs).

10 modules total
Each module presented by a guest professional from the local community (1.5 hours each)
10–15 minute breaks between modules
30-minute lunch break (lunch provided on Wednesday & Thursday)

Light snacks and refreshments will be available all three days.
Lunch is included on Wednesday and Thursday only.
