You are invited to join the Illuminating Engineering Society on a tour of the new Leduc Library!
The new Leduc Library is built adjacent the iconic Leduc Civic Centre designed by Peter Hemmingway. The project team was tasked to develop a building to complement the existing facility, and a plan was presented for the building to mimic the page of an open book. Building highlights include a glass façade on two sides, an enchanted forest within the Children's Area.
Unique design approaches were employed to address illuminating the stacks with an open ceiling concept, providing playful decorative lighting at the workstations and a harmonious execution of lighting to highlight the glass façades.
At the main entrance to the library there will be signs guiding you to the room where at 6 pm sharp there will be a short presentation by the facility manager, architect and electrical engineer. After this there will be a tour throughout the building until 7 pm. Afterwards there will be a networking social with complimentary appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages until 8:45 pm.
We look forward to seeing you at this exciting event!
